Project Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced exterior house painter to revitalize the appearance and protect the structure of our classic Victorian home. The project involves meticulous preparation, including power washing, scraping loose paint, repairing minor wood damage, and applying primer. The final stage will involve applying two coats of premium-quality exterior paint. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail and a commitment to achieving a flawless finish.

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly inspect the exterior surfaces for damage and areas requiring repair.
• Power wash all surfaces to remove dirt, mildew, and loose debris.
• Scrape and sand loose paint to create a smooth surface for priming.
• Repair minor wood damage, such as replacing rotted trim or filling cracks.
• Apply a high-quality primer to all surfaces.
• Apply two coats of premium exterior paint, ensuring even coverage and a consistent finish.
• Clean up the work area thoroughly at the end of each day.
• Properly dispose of all waste materials.
• Communicate effectively with the homeowner throughout the project.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in exterior house painting.
• Proven ability to prepare surfaces properly and achieve a flawless finish.
• Knowledge of different types of exterior paints and primers.
• Experience repairing minor wood damage.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must have own transportation and tools.
• Liability insurance is required.

We need the siding, trim, and decorative elements painted in historically appropriate colors (selection will be finalized upon hire). The house has multiple stories, so experience working at heights is essential.
