We Need a Narrator for Historical Documentary Series

Project Overview:

We are producing a six-part documentary series focusing on lesser-known aspects of ancient Nigeria history. Each episode will be approximately 45 minutes in length and will require a compelling and authoritative narration. We need a voice that can convey both the grandeur and the human drama of the era. The target audience is educated adults with an interest in history, archaeology, and culture.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a professional voice-over narration for all six episodes of the documentary series.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate pronunciation of historical names and terms.
• Deliver high-quality audio files that are free of background noise and distortion.
• Be available for revisions and re-recordings as needed.
• Maintain a consistent tone and style throughout the entire series.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a voice-over artist, preferably with experience in historical documentaries or similar genres.
• A deep, authoritative voice with excellent diction and clarity.
• Ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
• Familiarity with audio recording software and equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a production team.
• A passion for history and a commitment to accuracy.

We are looking for a voice that can transport our audience back in time and bring the fascinating world of ancient Nigeria to life. Please provide samples of your work that demonstrate your ability to handle historical material with sensitivity and expertise.

The script will be provided in advance. You will also be required to attend a brief orientation session with the director and producer.
